|
|
Hey all, I'm brand new to this, and after having perused all the topics regarding displays, I didn't come away with the sense of a set of "approved" monitors or TV's.
Since most of these topics are a year or more old, has anyone reached a conclusion about a good display solution? I'd rather have a display > 9" for readability but haven't come across a reliable component video -> VGA convertor to be able to use my PC/Mac monitors.
I'm busy reading the book (Back to the Garage) right now, and hope to be ordering my Replica 1 kit early January.
I can't wait to get back into 6502 coding. It's been about 20+ years.
Thanks for any help, and sorry for the Apple 1-newbie questions |

1) use any video (composite sync) monitor (CRT or LCD TV).
2) if you MUST use a VGA monitor (for some reason), you can use a terminal (PockeTerm) connected to Replica's serial port. It will be displayed with no original font, but with sharp and clean picture.
No video <-> VGA conversion is needed then.
The content of the text displayed on the terminal screen will be the same as in case of using a video monitor. |
