Re: Unpack a DSK file in windows

I read all posts to this forum and enjoy what I can glean from the comments. Unfortunately for me I'm can't write code and don't understand many of the technical (software) stuff. I visit every so often and watch for firmware updates and hardware add-ons. ;)

Re: cassette interface

The last post mentioned a serial connection to the unit. Is this on a pcb? It seems the lastest Micros are shipped with the addition. Are they available?

Re: New Altair logo artwork...

Is there a reason for the color specific switch covers/boots on the real Altair? I plan to do something similar primarily to make the switches commonly used A10/A11/A12 Aux protect etc easier to recognize. It will be easier for me (beside the silkscreen) to see the switches plus the rubber boot will...

Oops, I do stand corrected. I've been working on Linux Min14 and Commodore OSV for some time and not my Micro but should have remembered they are recharge batteries!

Re: anyone here who can help out with European supliers?

Not sure of the quality but a variety of mini toggle switches can be found on ebay.

Re: mechanical stability of front panel

As I remember it my kit did not include the toggle switch nuts. I have a very early kit so that may be the reason. I too questioned the stability of the mounted switches as one can notice when a switch is toggled it moves. So far no problems have been reported by anyone so it may not be an issue?
