as far as I know this was made of "spare" parts by Woz. Problem could be that there never were any (real) schematics I believe. And since it fried it probably got parcially recycled.

Were not copying the apple I terminal. And we'll have a different i/o chip (6522) this is gonna be a completly (well maybe not totally) different system.
Let' stick with you 8088 and me 6502 ;-) .

Mmmmmm seems your right. Black level is about the same i believe but the darn white level is 1v on composite and 700-750 on rgb. Thanks for noticing.

My idea for a "green screen" edit: in theory vga.

Living in "Pal land" as I call it. I've got scart. Wich means I also have rgb. My idea is to either: 1.) Use a sync-seperator to seperate the sync from composite, then blast sync into the sync pin and video into the green pin. 2.) Build a little device with a pic that looks at the outputs ...

Iam7805 is a friend of mine. (he's the brandon in Jab ma computer, lol)
Now you mention it it DOES sound like a firmware problem! Maybe the rom got corrupted over the years (bit rot) and when read to a computer nobody really tested it well (under 1k progs)?
