Backup paranoïa is the safest illness (I do not know if this really means something for an American but I like this sentence in French !)

Hi, I still have issues to read the numeric/analog input of the card. I will try to solve this during the next week-end. By the way, does someone use the bitscope USB scope? This is an australian stuff. I intend to buy one (the smallest one), as I am bored to borrow the HP scope from my company. Reg...

Replica 1 And Fischertechnik

Hi, I recreated the topic here. I added on my webpages the photograph of (probably) the first robot ever driven by a Replica 1 computer: http://franz.trierweiler.ingenieur.googlepages.com/interfacingwithfischertechnik Still working on the driver. Regards, Franz

Replica 1 And Fischertechnik

Hi,

I completed 30% of my Replica 1 robotic expansion card driver for Fischertechnik today. I will post a video tomorrow, as requested by Vince.

Yes, I could make rotate a mini-motor!

Franz

Apple is the forbidden fruit, and you just have to bite in... A french advertising in the 80s said this: "Bite in the knowledge, bite the Apple".

Several theories, popular in France:

Apple Records was the Beatles recording company. Steve Jobs used to be fond of Beatles music.
Apple was the fruit Jobs was eating during the discussion.
Apple enabled the company to be listed before Atari in the local phonebook!

Vince, you can rely on me to post videos as soon that all that stuff works. I finished to solder the expansion board yersterday with the 6522 chip. Now I am trying to write the driver. The goal is to have the driver embedded onto the expansion board, in a separate EEPROM once it works fine. There is...

Hi Neonblurb, No, that is not too ambitious. It took me only three hours to solder everything on the Replica 1 PCB and this worked fine right from the first power on. All what you need is patience and careful test before plugging the chip in order to search for short circuits. I do not have a large ...

6522 VIA / Where to find easily?

Hi everybody,

The 6522 VIA is hard to find in Europe (RS and Farnell do not have it). I can order to WDC in the US but does anyone know where this can be ordered outside of the US, and especially in Europe (through a broker I guess)?

Best Regards,
Franz

Thank you for the explanation. Thus my last chance to use BRK instructions as in the old days is to get an EEPROM programer in order to reprogram the AT28C64 chip with the right image.

We have a chip programmer at the office. I will check if it supports the AT28 chip.
