LED Display Ghosting?

I've noticed that when I play games like Bandit, there is a little bit of ghosting on the LED displays, like the second LED display from the left will have a slight ghost image of the last LED display. Has anyone else seen this kind of thing? I'm hoping it is just because of how the LEDs are multipl...

Broken Links?

It seems that the links are broken to attachments in a few posts below. (MKRAM.pdf, MK_Expander.pdf, etc) Does anyone know where I can find these?

Thanks!

Re: Easy address decoding changes with the Micro-KIM?

Thanks!

Easy address decoding changes with the Micro-KIM?

How hard is it to change the address decoding on the Micro-KIM to allow adding other chips to the memory map? On my Replica 1 this is easy as you can just use one of the 3 already decoded lines to select the breadboarded chip, but the Micro-KIM's map just repeats into infinity.

Thanks!

Thanks for the serial tip Vince, now that it is built I am probably going to be reading a lot of the KIM-1 documents. minimicrite- Any machined 14-pin sockets should work, but I used generic Jameco ones (P/N 37197) you just need to pop 3 of the pins out of the socket with needle nose pliers so it wi...

I finished my micro-KIM!!!

This was my first big soldering project and I am happy to say that it worked on the first try! My soldering skills were minimal when I started but I took it slow and by the time I was done it felt like second nature. I used green 7 segment displays from Jameco (P/N 790516) to give it that "Apol...

Thanks for the info, and don't worry about sending the LEDs, I was thinking about using green ones before I got the kit. I saw these in the Jameco catalog and they seem to be the perfect fit. http://www.jameco.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10001&catalogId=100...

Specs for the 7-segment LED displays used in the micro-KIM

I was wondering if anybody has the specs for the 7-Segment LEDs used in the micro-KIM. I looked in the manual and schematics and couldn't find anything. My kit came without the displays and I was thinking about using green LEDs anyway. Just want to make sure I get the correct ones.

Thanks!
