Vince, My class just finished butilding many of your kits and we did have a single socket with a bad contact. When using the machined sockets if that happens all you need to do is push out the offending hole from the bottom and push a new one in the socket - nice, with dual swipe you have to desolde...

Derrik, I have been working on an I2c interface board for the Replica 1. From that you should be able to control almost anything. The addressing splatters the single byte control register throuought the 0xb000 range and could use some work. I am going to have my students work on it this fall. It wou...

Here is a 4K EEPROM board that uses two 2816 to fill the space from 0xc000-0xcfff. It can be attached to any of the bank selects and works really well for me.

This was created for a computer architecture class I will be teaching with the Replica-1 in my lab.
