Re: 5V input header on boad?

I looked at the schematic (rtfm!) and it sure looks like the pocketerm can be powered via the 5V header (J4, I think though not labeled on board).

Also, how much current does the external 8V power need to supply?

5V input header on boad?

On the my pocketerm board is a 2 pin header marked 5V. Is this for 5V regulated power, and if I provide power there I can leave the 2.5mm 8V external power unconnected?

I still have my rev 1 TE kit unbuilt - do you have a list of all differences between the v1, v2, and v3 kits? I might as well bring my kit up to the latest version when I built it.
