Vince, Ouch! Sorry to hear of your loss. There are some WordPress backup plugins available, but I use the Navicat SQL management program to do backups and restores. What forum plugin were you trying? I recently installed Simple:Press on one of my WordPress sites and find it to be pretty slick. -Ken

I'm a big fan of WordPress, so any move to it is one I wholeheartedly endorse.

You might want to try displaying your products as pages instead of posts, which is how WP stores static data that exist outside the blog chronology.
