Re: Creating new wiki website experienced help needed

I'm going to be changing the website for Briel Computers. I think it is better to be an active site where people can add software, pictures, things like that. I'm going with mediawiki format because most people know how to edit wiki pages. Vince I am not an expert at wiki tools like mediawiki. I ha...

Hm, I am rich! I have a couple of these 6502's! Never thought so.

Rich is indeed a very reputable seller! And a pro in constructing hardware, such as the boards I won, CFFA and CFFA1 proof.

When I looked it was at 306 dollar and reserve not met :D Out of my budget already!

Hi,

As far as I have seen you have done the right things. I have done the same test when I activated my 32K RAM expansion, with the same program and the same kimpaper command.

1. Jumper at the right location?
2. Loading ends with success? If not add more ms to especially line delay

Great to see another KIM come alive!

It is a nice feeling, relive that old KIM-1 nostalgic feeling!

One thing I've noticed is that I get an exact incorrect result. For example, if a byte is suppose to be 20 and it comes back as 10, it does it every time. What could be the cause in my opinion, a lot of things. Vince I have looked at the source (and no illegal opcdes there ;) ) and the way it const...

If it was media all this time, I'm gonna be sick. I don't know why anybody would want this as a storage device, it is frustrating beyond belief. Vince Welcome to the 80ties! Before slow floppy drives became affordable we had to live with these misery all the time, and he, it made us computer nerds!

I would like to see the next expansion boards for the Micro-KIM 1. Complete KIM-1 Many books and magazine articles have projects based on the expandibility of the KIM-1. So the second 6532 is a must, since here the I/O lines and timer are present for these experiments. Note that there is one differe...

Re: Slot Expander

Would it be possible to use the replica 1 slot expander with the the Micro Kim? I think it can be done. The Apple 1 bus takes standard signals from the CPU. It will require the use of for example a 74LS138 to generate the $C000, etc address select lines. And a bit of a remap of the connector. What ...

Fixed the monitor problem. When I looked with a scope at the composite video signal I saw it was much too low amplitude, a wonder the monitors did sync after all. The video monitor has a 75 ohm load. In parallel with the 100 ohm R3 this was giving a too low amplitude to let the monitor sync fast eno...

Not much luck with my Replica-1. On all monitors I have tried, all NTSC capable (I am in the Netherlands, so its PAL on TV) the top 3 lines are distorted, bend to the left. Looks like a bad sync signal, so it takes a lot of lines before the monitor syncs. Tried with a televison, a Apple IIc monitor,...

Yes, you can view them here: http://www.brielcomputers.com/mkbug.html Remember this only pertains to rev 0 boards. Boards that are shipping now are revision 1 with this fix applied. Vince I have done all three fixes, and it made Micro-Ade function. I checked that the whole RAM area of 128 bytes of ...

Hi Mike, Well, I have a few items in mind to complete the Micro-KIM, such as the 2nd 6532, a small expansion bus, the cassette interface but progress is slowed by home life time plus I have some replica 1 projects to wrap up this year. Still, things will progress at a rapid pace once the VCF X is o...
