CFFA1 preorders coming soon!

CFFA1 website:

Almost time to break open your piggy-banks for the CFFA1 card. Everybody who has an Apple II should be aware of the CFFA card, but for those who don't know what it is:

The CFFA1 is a mass storage card for the replica 1 and Apple 1 computers using a comact flash card for storage. The system works via a menu driven display to load/storage your programs. The file structure is partly PRODOS compatible so the files can be copied to/from an Apple II with a CFFA card.

I'm beta testing the latest firmware and you can now create, delete and rename folders. Sub folders can only be nested 1 deep but you now have unlimited files per folder (except the root folder). Loading a program autodetects what file type it is making loading a file a breeze.

The CF cards can be read on your PC with ciderpress available here:

http://www.faddensoft.com/ciderpress/

No more waiting 30 minutes to download a program from you pc.

The CFFA1 card requires the slot expander board. There are less than 100 boards and they will go fast so don't miss out on the best mass storage device made for the apple 1 and replica 1.

Rich should have the order page going shortly and orders will be shipped on a first come first serve basis.

Vince

CFFA1 Pre-orders Open

Postby rdreher1 » Mar Sun 25, 2007 2:46 am

Hi Vince,

I have just opened the CFFA1 order site for Pre-orders!
Pre-orders are for those who want to ensure their position in the shipping queue.
Your position in the shipping queue is based on when I receive your payment compared to everyone else.

It will be at least 4 to 6 weeks before I can begin shipments. I have built a batch of 100 boards. Assuming 5 to 10 are never sold for various reasons. That leaves about 90 available to the Apple1 fan community.

If you are interested, please visit http://dreher.net/CFforApple1
(The link listed above also works)

Thanks,
Rich Dreher
