All the best, and thanks Vince.

First off, I just wanted to say thank you. Nothing makes my day more than when people connect wires and lights to one of my boards. Honestly, I don't get to play like this and it makes all the work I do worthwhile. I hope that this isn't your last video becuase I was glued to my computer watching this. I liked it so much it makes me want to have a contest or something for best hack video with my boards. Please keep up the good work.

Vince

Well I have just discovered the joys of 6502/Kim-1 user notes, so I guess you never know.
Thanks once again.

Very cool! What was that board you built and have hooked up to the expansion port? If this is already covered somewhere else, can you point me to the thread?

The lines are from the expansion port as you say. The program is music box from the first book of KIM, with some line alterations, found in the book of KIM, to send output to the application port rather than the KIMs tape output.
The only circuit needing building is a resistor or two and a transistor.
Easy.
The wee circuit is used by various other music program's that can be found in Kim user notes.
It's also pretty similar to the burgler alarm in the manual and I made the wee piano doing pretty much the same thing.
