If power is connected to the Altair 8800Micro but its ON/OFF switch is OFF, are the batteries recharging? :?:

No. Also you should not use rechargeable batteries. ;)

Thanks for your replay, elchucko.

I am talking about the Ram Disk/32K expansion board and I am currently using NiMH batteries as recommended by Vince. Is that wrong???

The switch needs to be on for the batteries to charge and yes, NiMH or NiCd batteries are the ones to use just for that reason.

Oops, I do stand corrected. I've been working on Linux Min14 and Commodore OSV for some time and not my Micro but should have remembered they are recharge batteries!

That's is so ironic... the day I pulled out my Altair kit to play some more on (birth of son has kept me busy :D ) I was wondering the exact same thing since my batteries had drained. Glad you asked!
