I was thinking of replacing my reset switch with a spring loaded one. One that defaults to the none reset state. A lot of video's i watch on the altair, the reset switch appears to be spring loaded like the step or deposit and examin switch. Has anyone made this change? Any idea what part number we would use? I will have to open up my 8800micro up and see what kind the ones that are currently in use are.

FYI, the part you want is actually 611-7108SYCQE . The other part is (on)-off-(on) whereas for the reset switch you want on-(on).

I received a new on-(on) switch from Jameco to replace the (on)-off-(on) RESET switch. Fiddling around with it some more, I think that the STEP switch should also be on-(on) because there's no connection on the other side of the throw.
