the Pom 1 is an apple 1 Java emulator,

What do you mean? A file extractor? All it needs is the monitor and video ROMs - and they're included and free for the Apple 1. The old version of Pom1 is buggy though - use the fixed version from my website. Also, a guy on AppleFritter has ported it to C anad seems to be having some success recently. The java version I distribute also allows emulation of a Replica 1 with BASIC and Krusader in ROM, including optional emulation of a 65C02 (as found in most Replicas).

the file is compacted to save space and the extractor isn't readily availible on any computer

I just saw that, after a break of 4 years, the original author of Pom 1 has updated his website. His new release appears to be the one you have copied - why not just have a link to the original?

One funny thing is that after I had made a number of enhancements to the emulator I lost my source code! No big deal, I just decompiled it with jad and continued, but that meant comments and symbolic constants etc were lost and the result was somewhat less readable. Well now that decompiled source has become the official release! :-)

As I mentioned above, there is also the C/SDL version that looks like it is coming together, and watch this space for the upcoming release of the "Krusader Toolkit" - an all-in-one app for managing Krusader source, serial communication, and Replica 1 emulation. I'm just putting the finishing touches on it now and hope to have it ready for an initial release next week.
