one question before i order my kit

I decided to use a 6VDC wall brick power supply. I have a question about the amperage though?

How many ma's? I don't want to fry my kit by letting too much amperage in.

Franklin Ace 2200 Keyboard, Apple I replica

I have a Franklin Ace 2200 I don't use that much. The keyboard on this machine was actually detachable.

I'm thinking since this was an ascii keyboard, i could use it with very little modification. All I would need to do is change the connector on the cable?
