I've added a version with all the strings in uppercase.

Enhanced 6502 BASIC for the Replica 1

I couldn't find a port of the most recent version 2.22 of Lee Davison's Enhanced BASIC, so I spent an evening and got it running on the Replica 1.
Details are at my blog at http://jefftranter.blogspot.ca/2012/04/enhanced-6502-basic-222-for-replica-1.html.

Re: EWoz 1.0

Cool.
There are some xmodem implementations for the 6502 so you don't need to implement it from scratch.

Re: Proto Board?

Some of the Vectorbords from Vector Electronics have a 22/44pin edge connector on 0.156" centers. Any of these models look like they will work: 3662, 3662A6, 3662-A9, 3682-2, 3682-4, 3677-2, 4112-4, 3662-2, 3677, 3682, 4112. I'll let you know what I end up using.

Proto Board?

Does anyone know of a good low-cost solution for a protoboard that will fit the Replica 1 slot? I know that Achatz sells one but it is a little expensive to ship from Holland.

Re: Terminal under windows-7

If you can find a copy of Hyperterminal on another computer running Windows XP you can copy the files hypertrm.exe and hypertrm.dll and it should run fine on Windows 7.

There is a version for Windows 7 here but it is not free: http://www.hilgraeve.com/hyperterminal/

My Text Adventure Game for the Replica 1

I've written a game for the Replica 1. The Abandoned Farmhouse Adventure is a text adventure game in the spirit of similar games that ran on 8-bit microcomputers of the 1970s and 80s or the more ambitious Colossal Cave adventure that originally only ran on mainframes and minicomputers. The plot and ...

Re: EEPROMs compatible with multi-io board?

Digging into the data sheet It seems that this Xicor EEPROM doesn't support the "byte write" mode that makes it acts like a RAM chip. The datasheets for other 2864 type devices I looked at all support this. Vince, is there a particular EEPROM and supplier you can recommend for the Multi I/...

Re: Applesoft Lite - Why no trig functions?

Thanks for the info. It makes sense to pull the trig functions to make it fit in 8K. In fact, just today I recompiled it to run from the EEPROM in the Multi I/O board so I can run either flavor of BASIC out of ROM. The trig functions are in this version of Microsoft BASIC for 6502, which no one seem...

EEPROMs compatible with multi-io board?

I just put together the Multi-i/o board and it is working great. I am able to program the EEPROM that came with it, but an EEPROM that I purchased is not writing. I'm wondering if it is compatible. It is a Xicor X28C64A-25. It looks like I can read it okay as all locations are FF. The Multi-i/o boar...

More recent CC65 patches?

There were patches posted here to add support for the Replica 1 and Appple 1 to the CC65 assembler/compiler tools. They were for version 2.11.0. I adapted them to work with the current 2.13.3 version. They work well for the assembler but not the C compiler. Some things seem to be missing, Does anyon...

Re: What cross-assembler is Krusader written for?

It turned out to only be a few minutes work to port Krusader to the CC65 assembler, especially with the "--feature labels_without_colons" option. That let me build it for RAM and try out the 65c02 version, which was what I wanted to do.
