SWEET16 for Replica 1

If anyone is interested, I ported SWEET16 to the Replica 1 with the CC65 assembler. The Atari port (see below) needed only a few changes to assemble with CC65. A nice feature of CC65 is that it has support for SWEET16 opcodes and you can switch between 6502 and SWEET16 code in the same source file. ...

What cross-assembler is Krusader written for?

I'd like to assemble Krusader from source, but I don't know what cross-assembler is was written for. It's not compatible with CC65 and it won't assemble itself. Does anyone know? Incidently, if you are using Krusader, make sure that the manual matches the version you have, The Replica CD I received ...

Re: POLL: Machined socket or Duel swipe

I'd go for saving some cost and using the cheaper sockets. In my experience they are more prone to getting pins bent underneath the socket, so you should warn people to watch for that.

And incidently, it is "dual swipe" and not "duel swipe". (Sorry to be pedantic).

Applesoft Lite - Why no trig functions?

The port of Applesoft Lite to the replica 1 is pretty cool (http://cowgod.org/replica1/applesoft/). I was wondering why the SIN/COS/TAN/ATN functions were missing. I know that in early Microsoft BASICs they were often optional because of the additional space required. I was hoping that maybe it was ...

Corrections to Setup and Users Manual

As I built my Replica 1 I noticed a few minor errors in the manual. Hopefully these can be corrected in an update. The version of manual I have is "JULY 2010 TE EDITION". Cover page: The board shown is the rev 0. The current rev 3 boards have some component layout differences. Page 8: Same...

Newer copy of schematic?

I noticed at least one difference between the schematic on the CD and the current rev 3 boards - C22 (100 uF) is no longer present. The power switch is also now SPST (that was mentioned in an earlier post here). Could we get a copy of the latest schematic? Also, the Replica 1 CD image available in t...

Any chance of putting "Back to the Garage" book online?

The "Apple I Replica Creation: Back to the Garage" book was published in 2005, so I imagine it is getting a little dated as far as the details of the Replica 1, being based on the first edition design. Is there any possibility of putting the book on-line? If there was, it might even be pos...

Re: An idea for future emulation projects

The "gertboard" being developed for the Raspberry Pi might be useful for this:
