I received my kit today, assembled it and the 32K expansion and everything works as it should. All the parts were there, the documentation was very clear and it went together easily. It was very fun to build.

Right now it is running the clock program, but I was able to get the serial port to work and was able to use the paper tape feature to save the clock program to disk.

Thanks for a great kit. I look forward to trying the other sample programs and writing my own. I was 10 when the KIM-1 came out and I couldn't afford it then and I couldn't convince my parents that it would be a good investment. I really wanted an Altair, but that was even more expensive. Fortunately, now I am able to play with the KIM and in a month or so, I'll be able to play with my new Altair (replica).
