Battleship Game

Postby mike_p » Mar Sat 28, 2009 3:53 pm

I keyed in the Battleship game listed in Volume 6, page 8 of the Kim-1 User Notes. This version includes a bug fix which was described in a later volume of the User notes.
Hope you enjoy,
Mike

An enemy battleship resides in 3 adjacent squares of an 8 by 8 matrix. Your mission is to try to sink the battleship with 3 direct hits. The battleship is placed randomly by Kim within the 8 by 8 matrix and may be positioned vertically, horizontally or diagonally.

Enter AD 0200 and G.

The left 2 digits of the display indicate your fire coordinates (The upper left coordinate is 1,1 and the lower right coordinate is 8,8)

The middle 2 digits of the display indicate the amount of ammo you have left

The right 2 digits of the display indicate the number of hits (you need 3 before running out of ammo)

Enter your coordinates and press F for fire. Continue until you sink the battleship or you run out of ammo. If you run out of ammo, the 3 coordinates of the ship will be displayed.
