Skeet Shoot

Discuss software for the Micro-KIM and KIM-1

Skeet Shoot

Inspired by Mike's earlier posting of two games from the 6502 User Notes newsletters, here's the paper tape file for Skeet Shoot (6502 User Notes Issue 10).

I've modified the game slightly so that it will run on a Micro Kim without the second 6530 timer, and added the patch suggested in issue 11 to increase the minimum speed of the target.

Have Fun, Andy

SKEET SHOOT September/77 Jim Butterfield, Toronto

Start the program and you'll see targets racing across the screen from right to left. You don't have to fire at any of them .. but if you do, remember that you must 'lead off' your shot to give the bullet time to reach the target. You have 20 shots: shoot by hitting any numbered button. You'll see the bullet move from right to left too. If you hit the target, you'll see the explosion. After 20 shots, KIM will tell you the number of hits you made; then you can press GO for another game.

Code: Select all

Nice job recoding this software to run without the second timer. The high speed skeet sure is difficult to hit!

I think the Astroid program has the same issue with the 2nd 6530 but I haven't had time to look at it. Anybody?

Great work guys, nice to see u-KIM community support.
