I'm interested in a Cosmac Elf (Hint Vince ;). My first REAL computer.

Check out the Elf group on Yahoo Groups. There isn't a true Elf kits out there that I know of. But there is one that fits in an Altoids can.

I managed to get an ELF2k a while back. At least the Altoids tin version is still available.

But a person could always breadboard an ELF, since it's a pretty simple circuit. That's what I did back in the 70's. Wish I still had that one.

I have an Elf2K as well ( with 1861 pixie chip ) it's a great computer, I built a hex keyboard for it based on the spare times gizmos... works great,
except the memory protect does not work the same way it did on my original elf. i had to modify the elf2k so the memory protect would work just like on the elf 2. here is a link to the yahoo group for sparetime gizmos. where i introduce the mode i made to allow proper memory protect :)

Cheers. :)

I've built one of these recently. It's as close as you can get to an Elf kit, without the Hex display though.
