After replica I plan on making my own 6502 computer. Called jab's acs (jeroen and brandon's advanced computer system) it wil be made with "old parts" only.

I started a similar project in the beginning of this year making a 6502 computer. It's been stalled for some time now since I realized that it is darn near impossible to get the proper card edge connector receptors I wanted to use. Currently it runs EhBasic but with no means of storing programs (other than via the terminal) it has been put on the back burner.

Maybe some one here knows how to get hold of 44-pin card edge receptors for mounting on a PCB (backplane).

Nice, do you have a game plan on things like I/O, interfaces? For expample, is your main keyboard and display going to be via RS232 or do you plan on something KIM-1 like?

6502 systems can be done in as little as about 5-6 chips. It is my favorite cpu for a lot of reasons but mostly because it is so easy to interface.

planning on having one/two 65c22 and maybe even a terminal interface! (I could use your atmega avr thingie to act as the terminal (as the only "new" thing, but it doesn't count since it isn't the computer really) the terminal would be driven trough one of the 65c22's though....(if it's possible)

I still say we should use an 8088 instead... especially if we basically just copy the terminal interface. We don't want to make a Replica-1-Replica.

Were not copying the apple I terminal. And we'll have a different i/o chip (6522) this is gonna be a completly (well maybe not totally) different system.
Let' stick with you 8088 and me 6502 ;-) .
