I was wondering if anyone ever made a code for tic tac toe,
So... i am working on it now,
It is more complicated than you would think this is the first ten lines:
Code: Select all
 10 PRINT "TIC TAC TOE"
20 "_|_|_  1"
21 "_|_|_  2"
23 " | |    3 "
24 "A B C "
25 INPUT A$
26 IF A$ = A1 THEN 40
27 IF A$ = A2 THEN 60
28 IF A$ = A3 THEN 80
29 IF A$ = B1 THEN 100

Yea there is alot of code in here

I wrote a tic tac toe game for the Apple I back in the 1970s, and it's posted on the Apple I site at Applefritter. However, the best part is in the writing; learning the logic of the game, working on the code and polishing everything to get it working right.

As an aside, I had forgotten the Apple I code when I took a "Visual Basic" class a few years ago, and as an assignment I wrote it again. When I found my original program, I was amazed to find the similarities in the two programs!

Her is my original from December 1977:

I'm sure that there are far better ways to write this program. When you finish it, be sure to let us see what you've done. We'll all learn from it.
