Easy and cheap breadboard cable for the Replica-1

Hi All,
I am sure some of you have already thought of this but…. You can hook up a breadboard to the Replica-1 using an old IDE hard drive cable. I took the 40 pin hard drive cable and removed all the connectors except one on the end. On the other end of the cable I installed a 40 pin DIP plug (Jameco P/N 42711 $1.15). Plug the hard drive connector into the expansion header and the DIP Plug into the breadboard and your on your way! Just make sure you check your cable to find out were PIN 1 is on the DIP plug. My cable has pins 1 through 20 on the right side (with pin 1 at the top) NOT on the left even though pin 1 is marked on the DIP plug on the top left! Better to be safe than sorry

Have fun!

Interesting enough I think that was the point of the expansion port...
